The Centrel OS1-OS2 operative sheath has an oval section and is equipped with a working channel for the insertion of a scissor, a biopsy forceps or a mono-bipolar electrode for surgery. It is composed by the OS1 internal sheath and the OS2 external sheath.
In comparison with traditional sheaths, the Centrel one offer several measures that will improve the hysteroscopic experience, surpassing in fact the typical limitations of operating sheaths of the previous generation.
Details
The observation through the hysteroscope rotation during surgery is significantly facilitated by the two rotatable stopcocks, expedient which prevents kinking of the irrigation tubes, making the procedure safer and more comfortable for both the patient and for the operator.
The operating channel presents a soft curve of insertion avoiding the risk of breakage of the surgical instrument during insertion, while the innovative gasket is finally able to compensate the excessive loss of fluid from the entrance of the working channel.
The complete redesign of the irrigation path between the internal and the external sheaths has allowed to overcome the pressure loss at the time when the instrument is inserted into the working channel. This promotes a more secure and fast operating, eliminating the need of continuous corrections of insufflation pressure.
